Dr. Francisco Javier de Alba was invited to present his lecture “Learn to Speak Clarinet: How language can help or hinder your students” at the College of Southern Nevada in September of 2023. This lecture includes a brief overview of his doctoral research regarding the interdisciplinary intersection between clarinet pedagogy and linguistics, as well as his current elaborations of his research aimed to further improve clarinet teaching techniques through linguistic analysis.
