Quid pro quo is originally written for B-flat clarinet and Alto saxophone and was commissioned by my good friends, Trisha Bacalso and AJ Pratt. This arrangement for two B-flat clarinets was commissioned by Kristine Dizon. This piece was written during the first impeachment inquiry of former President Donald Trump. No matter where you turned, you could not escape the constant cacophony of the phrase, “quid pro quo,” in news, radio, and social media outlets. This piece attempts to capture this chaotic time in the United States of America. Technically demanding for both players, this piece is ideal for an advanced level ensemble.
